Lazydays® Donates Motorhome for Use in “Good Morning America” Valentine Breakfast

January 17, 2006 – (Seffner, FL) – When Emeril LaGasse, the head chef of the Ritz-Carlton Sarasota, and the crew from ABC’s “Good Morning America” come to breakfast, the last place you might expect them to practice their culinary arts is in a motorhome. But then again, you probably haven’t seen the kitchen of a Monaco Windsor either. Lazydays® RV Center (Lazydays) donated the use of a Monaco Windsor motorhome for use in ABC’s “Good Morning America” Valentine Breakfast. Emeril and Frederic Morineau, Ritz-Carlton Sarasota head chef, were on hand to surprise Jackie DeVita, the winner of an ABC contest that rewards one deserving individual each year with a Valentines Breakfast in bed catered by Emeril.

DeVita, a cancer patient who is currently undergoing treatment for the disease was shocked and delighted by the surprise breakfast in bed, which included breakfast prepared by Emeril in the Monaco Windsor and an ornate brass double bed fitted with red quilts, pillows and a big teddy bear. But her family wasn’t; they were in on the surprise ever since they learned about it on Super Bowl Sunday. Since that time, they’ve been doing their best to keep it a secret while ensuring that friends, family and well-wishers were on hand Valentine’s morning to witness the event.

Lazydays® was pleased to provide the motorhome for use in the segment. “The Monaco Windsor was the perfect choice for this event,” commented Stewart Schaffer, Lazydays® CMO. “It’s spacious kitchen and salon were just the right size for Emeril and the camera crews. It’s a special motorhome for a very special cause, and we’re honored to have been able to show our support to the DeVita family.”
