NEW YORK, February 3, 2006 – Rodale Inc.’s Custom Publishing division has named Jeff Gropper Associate Publisher for RVLiving magazine, it was announced today by Valerie Valente, Vice President of Custom Publishing. In his new role, Gropper will define the advertising strategy for the custom title produced for RV industry leader Lazydays. Additionally, he will help develop other business opportunities for Rodale Custom Publishing.

“Jeff has worked on some of Rodale’s top-performing consumer magazines, and we’re excited to have him bring his expertise to Custom Publishing,” said Valente. “RVLiving targets existing RV owners as well as the emerging baby-boomer market, and we’re confident Jeff can expand our presence through innovative advertising initiatives.”

For years one of Rodale’s top ad-sales executives, Gropper most recently served as Advertising Director for Backpacker magazine where he increased the magazine’s awareness among a wide range of advertising categories. Prior to that he served as Account Director for both Men’s Health and Best Life since 2001, overseeing and successfully growing their pharmaceutical and consumer-electronics accounts. Gropper also served as Men’s Health’s Eastern Sales Manager from 2000 to 2001, and also served as the title’s Eastern Technology Manager and Online Advertising Director from 1996-2000.

Gropper originally joined Rodale in 1993 as Eastern Sales Manager for Bicycling, and during his time with the organization has twice been named its Corporate Salesperson of the Year, as well as Men’s Health’s Salesperson of the Year, among other honors.
